• 6 cups clean mulberries
  • 5 cups white sugar
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • Grated skin of one lemon including the white skin.
  • 1/2 cup distilled water


Combine mulberries and sugar in a large pot, cover and leave for about 4-5 hours so the berries will release their juice. Stir in the remaining ingredients and simmer for about 30 minutes. Stir in between. Blend the content with a immersion blender until smooth. Simmer for another 5 minutes.  You can eat immediately on top of cold yogurt or hot bread or preserve.
