Walnut Meringue Cookies “Orehovki” BULGARIAN COOKING RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:

3 cups finely ground walnuts
3 egg whites
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar

DIRECTIONS:

In a glass bowl that has been dried and cleaned, beat egg whites with electric mixer until stiff. Gradually mix in powdered sugar. Fold in ground walnuts. Place a spoon full of mixture on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 200F for about 1 1/2 – 2 hours.
