A must have in Bulgarian cooking is a guvech earthenware pot. You can cook anything in it that you would cook in a crock pot. It is the original slow cooker.
Cut up some potatoes, slice one onion, add 2 cups of vegetable both and a nice pork roast in your guvech. Cook at 375F for 2 hours and then cut oven off and cook for another 2 hours. Now you have a traditional Bulgarian meal with little preparation.
